Hehehehe...
So I paid off my business LOC last week. While I was there, I had a long conversation with the new relationship manager there, Joe. I told him that I planned to apply for an increase in March (from $15,000 to $25,000), and he was confused. Joe said,
"Why wait until March? It wouldn't really make a difference so you should consider applying now before the end of year. As long as your credit score is as good as you say, you should be approved."
I've heard that "should be approved" line many times before, only to get denied because of some kind of crap. My last rejection was as early as September, and the denial still stings because it made no sense. But Joe convinced me to take a shot now instead of waiting. Just in case I get denied or get a lower increase, he also recommended that I apply for a business credit card. So we filled out the information and sent in the application on Monday. On Tuesday morning, I woke up to this email:
Let me be very honest. After the line: "I just got word on both of your decisions from yesterday", I was definitely expecting some type of denial. When I saw the approval and those numbers, I laid back down on the bed with a big smile on my face. I swear, I smiled for about 5 straight minutes. I signed the papers yesterday and it feels very good.
In 2016, I saved a good amount of my own money and wasted it buying Property 4. This year, I have a second chance with $40,000. The best part is that this money will be on my business name so, if I screw up, it won't hurt my personal credit. So I now have $40,000 of business credit, as well as $12,200 personal credit. $52,000. I knew I was gonna get my second chance, and now it's here. Ha!
Since I received the money ahead of schedule, I'll be starting Round 3 of trading in February. This is both exciting and nerve racking. I'm just starting to improve my PR (productivity rate), and I was hoping for more time to get into the groove. But I really need to start Round 3 BEFORE I apply for Patrick Boston's $50,000 business LOC in March. I need to know whether this whole trading thing is gonna work out for me, and the earlier the better.
It really has begun. As the kids would say, "this shit just got real". It's one thing to talk about having second chance, but to actually see that email let me know it's really happening. And I'm doing it right this time because it's with OPM (Other People's Money), and that's the way it's supposed to be done.
2018, man. I can not fucking wait.
