I saw that a girl named Ally wanted to meet me, so I messaged her. I liked the fact that Ally plays the piano and had a good job with no kids, but her face was a serious issue. I rated her a 4 and, since there was no chance of me actually dating her, I decided to use her for ASRP. How quickly can I get her to agree to go out with me?
Me: Hey what’s up? I’m Ahkenaten :-)
Ally: Hi Ahkenaten Ally
Me: I’ve never heard of [TOWN SHE LIVES IN]… what’s it like there?
Ally: It’s right outside of Smallertown. It shares the same zip code
Me: Oh ok. I saw that you were really cute and played the piano, so I knew I had to say something... hmm... I've been staring at the screen for a good 3 minutes and forgot what I was going to ask you. Shame!
Me: Now I remember... what made you start playing the piano? I started playing when I was young but stopped when I got older. I always wanted to learn, and always felt partial to songs that had a little piano riff in there :-)
Ally: I started bc my sister played. I was 6 So I just did whatever she did. You shoul play again. It's amazing how much you'll remember after a times
Me: Nah... I'd have to start from scratch again. I'll just stick to listening to [CLASSICAL MUSIC STATION] until I get the free time to practice again :-)
Ally: Haha that's a good bk up solution
[The next day…]
Me: Hey I'm curious about something. Did you ever click on the "Meet Me" tab when it came to me or my profile?
Ally: Probably why
Me: Oh ok... the website sometimes says that someone clicked on it, but it turns out not to be true... Ah whatever. Today's another beautiful day that we get to enjoy. What do you do for work?
Ally: I'm a mgr in retail
Me: I've always seen managers in stores with big smiles on their faces, and was always curious whether it's fake or real
Ally: We get paid to smile
Me: Ah I knew it! Well you've got a nice one so I'm sure everyone gets fooled. I try to do the same at my jobs but sometimes people can tell I don't really care. So what does make you smile? (besides getting paid that is)
Ally: It's true... Being around pple I care about... Having fun. That makes me smile
Me: I hear that. Do you work near Smalltown? Maybe we can have a quick meet after work tomorrow?
Ally: I workin Smallertown and hve to travel only when other stores start slacking. Which was today
Me: Hmm... so I'd probably have to go to Smallertown. I can do that if you want. I've only been there once but found it to be kinda like Smalltown...
The conversation ended there because she never responded.
Looking back, I really thought Ally (or "Piano Bitch" as Nino would refer to her as) was gonna be a walk in the park. She didn't look very good and really seemed like an easy get. Once I saw that she was giving me no play I got frustrated, hence the "meet me" question I posed to her. And the frustration blocked what could have been a great learning experience.
The best learning experiences come from women like this. Imagine getting this girl to go from giving me no play to agreeing to go out on a date. Wouldn't that have been a greater victory than getting a broad who's already into me to go out on a date? That would have been awesome! It's like the way I would feel when I would sit down next to a girl on the train in NYC. I'd start talking to her and she would give me one word answers or seem uninterested. But as long as I kept poking around different topics, I had a chance to find the icebreaker. There's no need for frustration. Ugh!
I really screwed up here. Instead of ending it by offering to come to her (I kinda knew that would end it), I should have kept going. I should have touched on things she seemed interested in talking about. When she talked about getting into the piano because of her sister, I could have brought up how my brother's musical interests influenced me. That could have led into the whole "what kind of music are you into" conversation that can lead to something. Bring up a situation I had in a retail store... lie if I have to. Talk about online buying instead of buying directly from a store. Talk about any topic that can lead to her loosening up. Topics like music, movies, health, hobbies, TV shows, or food. I definitely could've gone without that whole "staring at the screen" message. And, as with all things, bring it back to dick. Had I done so, this could have been the best learning experience so far. For shame!
